Feast At Faasos

Living life in the fast lane often leaves us pressed for time. At such times, we need quick fixes with everything possible. The plumber should come asap, the milkman has to deliver milk sharp at 6 am, the 8.41 am local just cannot be missed and even the food ordered at a restaurant should arrive fresh and hot in five minutes.
Living life in the fast lane is no mean feat. In such a scenario, Mumbai Instagrammers and Faasos invited us for #FeastAtFaasos after winning a contest on where else but the super-addictive Instagram. Little did I know that the afternoon at this quick service restaurant would be a susegad one. Here is my experience at the Kopar Khairane outlet of the recently re-branded Faasos:

Food: I was in for a surprise as the range on offer was far beyond the usual wraps offered by them. We had chicken bhuna rice, chicken biryani, mutton balls, paneer & chole rice, paratha, chicken tikka and sausages. And the mutton boti wrap was oozing with cheese and mint chatni. Burrp! For those who love their food served piping hot, Faasos won’t disappoint you. For me, I had to wait for it to let the steam out and then bite into it.

Food Lovers: A bunch of foodies-cum-photographers went berserk clicking the various meals that Faasos has on offer as part of their new menu. They have all-day breakfast, party packs, rice boxes, meal combos, wraps, appetizers, desserts and beverages.

Desserts: For a person with a sweet tooth, I expected more variety when it comes to desserts. Currently, they have just two desserts available: The chocolate fantasy and triple delight (Shahi tukda, gajar ka halwa and rabdi on top of each other)

I already know what my next order at Faasos would be. What is yours? But the next time around I will use their app to place the order while I watch a movie comfortably tucked on my couch.

  1. Hello Megha

Hope you are well. I heard about you on holidify and am reaching out to you regarding my startup http://www.yourlocalcousin.com launched 8 months by 3 cousins. I’m one of the three and based in Delhi.

Your Local Cousin is a platform that connects travelers with locals for customized trip planning advice over Skype or Email. Travelers provide information about their travel style, interests, budget and companions and are connected with locals who share common interests. Hence the advice is truly tailored towards the traveler. Locals get paid 70% of what the traveler pays.

Since launch, we have connected over 400 travelers and have a base of 450 locals covering 230 cities globally. We are also going to launch a new website which will make the entire UI/UX seamless and very professional.

We also have a blog where our locals write about their travels or cities.

I’m reaching out to see if you’d be interested in being our local for the city you feel you know best / home town. Or if you’re traveling, we would love for you to try us out. Currently. we’re in free trial for the first city but if you try us out for beyond the first and would be willing to write about our service on your blog we can come to mutual agreement that would benefit both of us.

If you have any further questions, would love to have a chat.
